Bioneers has arrived in Pittsburgh!

Bioneers is inspiring a shift to live on Earth in ways that honor the web of life, each other, and future generations.   We welcome Bioneers to our region for the first time by introducing Three Rivers Bioneers!

Conservationist and author Jane Goodall speaks at Bioneers

Jane Goodall, PhD, DBE, began her landmark study of chimpanzees in what is now Tanzania in 1960 under the mentorship of famed anthropologist and paleontologist Dr. Louis Leakey. Her work at Gombe Stream would become the foundation of future primatological research and redefine the relationship between humans and animals. She continually urges her audiences to recognize their personal responsibility and ability to effect change. "Every individual counts," she says. "Every individual has a role to play. Every individual makes a difference."

Three Rivers Bioneers: Connect. Discover. Celebrate

Three Rivers Bioneers (3RB) is the Beaming Bioneers conference partner based out of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.  The mission of 3RB is to foster a local movement of citizens and organizations who strive to cultivate sustainable communities in the Three Rivers Bioregion through actions revolving around social justice, ecological health, and innovative solutions.

We are pleased to announce the 2nd 3RB conference is once again happening at the Pittsburgh Project.

Are you doing something innovative that you would like to share with the Three Rivers Community?  Or maybe it’s not particularly new, but you are doing it successfully and would like to pass on the model to others?  This fall, Pittsburgh joins the National Bioneers Conference in its 21st year of highlighting the most proven and promising strategies for restoration and resilience. 

This year, due to a more select and limited group of workshops, we are encouraging individuals and organizations in complementary areas to form workshop and project partnerships.

All information about where to direct questions, and how to submit proposals both electronically and by mail are included.

Are you an artist, wellness practitioner, would you like to get the word out about your organization and table the conference, or even sell locally made items? Three Rivers Bioneers is looking for those people and organizations that don't necessarily want to present a workshop, but have other interesting ideas and creations to share.
